Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Notebook Gymbros ("we", "us") collects, uses, retains, and deletes information when you use the Notebook Gymbros mobile app (iOS and Android) and this marketing website, including the waitlist and contact forms.

Information we collect

We collect the following categories of information:

• Account information — email address, display name, and authentication identifiers when you create an account (email/password, Google, or Apple).
• Training data — workout logs, programs, exercises, week schedule, estimated 1RM, cardio entries, and related settings you enter in the app.
• Waitlist email — the address you submit on this website to be notified about launch.
• Language preference — English or Norwegian, if you select one.
• Support messages — name, email, and message if you contact us or request export or deletion.
• Technical data — basic device and request metadata (such as user agent) used to operate the service and prevent abuse.

How we use information

• To provide the training log, programs, sync, and account features in the app.
• To authenticate you and keep your data associated with your account.
• To email you about product launch if you joined the waitlist.
• To respond to support, data export, and data deletion requests.
• To protect the service from spam and abuse.

Legal basis

Where applicable (including GDPR), we process account and training data to perform the contract of providing the app, and waitlist emails based on your consent when you submit the form. You may withdraw waitlist consent by requesting deletion as described below.

Data retention

Account, training, and waitlist data are stored in Firebase (Google Cloud) under project notebook-gymbros. Our data retention practices are:

• Account and training data — retained for as long as your Notebook Gymbros account remains active. When you delete your account, we delete this data from our live systems. We do not retain that data indefinitely after deletion.
• Waitlist emails — retained until launch notifications are complete or you request deletion, whichever comes first.
• Support, export, and deletion-request emails — retained as needed to handle the request, then for up to 24 months for record-keeping unless a shorter period is required.
• Infrastructure backups — residual copies in encrypted backups are removed within 90 days after deletion from live systems.
• Cloud backups you create yourself (iCloud, Google Drive, Dropbox) and files you export (CSV / XLSX) are stored in your own accounts or on your device. We do not retain those copies after you delete them from those services. Deleting your app account does not automatically delete files you previously saved to those providers.

Data deletion

You can request deletion of your data at any time. There is a data deletion process for app accounts and waitlist emails. We process data deletion requests without undue delay and within 30 days.

How to submit a data deletion request:

• In the app (fastest): open Notebook Gymbros, sign in, go to Settings → Account, choose Delete account, and confirm. This deletes your Firebase Auth account and associated training data from our systems.
• On this website: go to https://www.lyskamminvest.com/delete-account and submit the data deletion request form with the email address on your account.
• By email: send a message to contact@lyskamminvest.com with the subject “Delete my data” and the email address on your account or waitlist.

Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We use infrastructure providers (hosting, authentication, and database) solely to operate the app and website. They process data on our instructions. Optional cloud backups you choose (iCloud, Google Drive, Dropbox) are sent to those providers under your own accounts.

Your rights

Depending on your location, you may request access, correction, or deletion of your data. Use the data deletion process above, or contact contact@lyskamminvest.com. The Delete account page is https://www.lyskamminvest.com/delete-account.

Children

The app and waitlist are not directed at children under 16. Do not create an account or submit an email if you are under that age.

Changes

We may update this policy. The "Last updated" date above will change when we do. Material changes will be reflected on this page.
